On behalf of the NAACP Wilson NC Branch, we extend our most heartfelt condolences to the Smith family. Our hearts are heavy as we remember a truly dedicated soul.
We could always count on Carl to attend our meetings and take on the tasks that no one else wanted to do. He was a consistent, constant member of our family. We never imagined that the call we received in January—letting us know he could not make the meeting—would be the last time we would hear from him.
We know you are doing an even greater work in heaven now. Thank you, Carl, for your unwavering servant leadership. You will be deeply missed. ❤️
